Online scripts and prescriptions by telehealth
Need a script for a regular medicine? Get an online script after a phone or video consult with an Australian-registered GP. If a prescription is clinically appropriate, you'll get an eScript by email or SMS, whichever you prefer.

How online scripts and eScripts work
An online script, or online prescription, is an electronic prescription (eScript) your GP sends you after a telehealth consult. At bulkbill.doctor, GPs can prescribe common non-controlled medicines, like the contraceptive pill, when it's clinically appropriate.
Your eScript is sent to you by email or SMS, whichever you prefer, and you take it to a pharmacy of your choice. In most cases we can't prescribe controlled medicines (Schedule 8 or Schedule 4D) by telehealth. Your GP decides what's safe to prescribe.
What happens in your consult
Your GP will:
![]() | ask about your medicine and what you take it for |
![]() | check how it's working and whether you have any side effects |
![]() | review your health history and any other medicines you take |
![]() | decide whether a prescription is safe and clinically appropriate |
![]() | suggest an in-person visit if you need an examination or tests |
![]() | talk about a referral or follow-up if you need one |
If a script is appropriate, your GP sends the eScript to you by email or SMS. Choose a Long appointment if you'd like a fuller medication review.
Bulk billed online scripts
Medicare eligibility rules apply. Medicare pays for your consultation with the doctor, so every script at bulkbill.doctor comes from a real consult. If you're not eligible, a private fee applies.
If your consult meets Medicare's rules, it can be bulk billed, and your eligibility is checked when you book. What you pay at the pharmacy is separate and depends on your medicine.
